Welcome to the INTO Manchester Centre
INTO’s partner in Manchester is City College Manchester, the UK's largest further education college. The INTO Manchester Centre is located in Bridgewater House, which is also home to the British Council.
Students can look forward to being taught by highly-qualified staff, with many years of teaching experience, in a wellequipped learning environment.
The INTO Manchester Centre is superbly located for access to the city and local transport links – just a few minutes walk from Manchester Piccadilly bus and train stations which both provide direct services to other major UK cities.
Where the programme will be held
In partnership with The University of Manchester, INTO Manchester’s International Foundation pathway in Social Science, Law, Business, Management, Accountancy and Economics is offered at our Bridgewater House Centre. Students who choose the International Foundation pathway in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics and Computing will also use the excellent laboratory facilities at City College's Northenden Campus – a 45-minute (approximately) bus ride away from Manchester city centre.
English language support
All students study English and Study Skills, and support in English continues throughout the course. Students who are otherwise qualified to join the foundation programme, but whose English falls slightly short of the required grade, may be required to undertake pre-sessional classes at INTO Manchester.
Support in the Centre
The INTO student services team, based at Bridgewater House, looks forward to welcoming new students. INTO care begins from the moment a student applies in their home country – from helping them with their application form to providing a pick-up service, for a small charge, on arrival at Manchester airport. INTO arranges an orientation programme to introduce students to the Centre and to help them find their way around the city. Students who are under 18 will be provided with a guardianship service free of charge and all students can expect 24-hour support from INTO staff.
