Dawn Abbott
Previously Academic Director for International Programmes for City College Manchester, Dawn is originally from the Wirral but has moved around the world in her career. Her first degree was in languages (French and Spanish) and as an EFL Teacher and then Director of Studies, Teacher Trainer and Academic Manager, she worked in Spain and Brazil before moving to London. She gained a Master’s in ELT and Applied Linguistics from King’s College, London. Dawn joined City College Manchester exactly four years ago as Director of Studies for EFL, and then became Academic Director for International Programmes.
Director of Studies - English Language
Sandra is the Director of Studies of the EFL department at INTO Manchester. She is in charge of the EFL and EAP provision. She joined the international department at City College Manchester in 2000, working first as a lecturer on both general EFL and English support classes, and then as EFL Co-ordinator, responsible for the development of the Pre-Master’s programme and the International Foundation Year EAP module. She began her teaching career in 1993 and has worked in Spain, Vietnam and a Japanese university based in the UK.
