English Language and Study Skills
This unit introduces and develops reading techniques for academic study. It deals with the structure and function of academic writing, its application to practical tasks and develops the student’s ability to take part in academic discussion. It helps students to gain the skills and techniques for dealing with spoken texts, reference works, referencing and other issues related to the use of English for academic study.

Foundation Mathematics
This unit covers basic mathematical concepts, including: algebra, logarithms, quadratics, coordinates, trigonometry, differential calculus, polynomial root-finding, set theory and basic techniques of statistics and probability.
