Arrival

INTO suggest you make your travel arrangements to arrive in your university city on the weekend before the first day of your course. You must inform INTO of your travel arrangements so that we can arrange for you to collect your room keys.

Airport pick-up service

If you are travelling to the UK for the first time, you may travel via London or one of the airports in Europe which have direct links with the city where you are studying. If you let us have your flight number, date and time of arrival at least five days before you arrive, we can arrange a pickup for you at a small additional cost.

Orientation programme

On arrival, a comprehensive orientation programme is provided to welcome you as a new student, to introduce you to living and studying in your new surroundings and to ensure that you understand everything about the INTO Centre, the University and the local area. Orientation includes a formal induction programme which explains the campus layout, the location of the INTO Centre, the university library, shops, sports facilities, cafes and advice centres. You will also be introduced to the local transportation system.

The Postgraduate Foundation course [now Pre-Master’s programme] helped me in the way it introduced the environment of my postgraduate studies. It enabled me to gradually adjust myself to the postgraduate modules and lectures. You could say that the course successfully bridged my two academically different stages (undergraduate and postgraduate) and stylistically different states (national and international).
