Quality of teaching
At University of Exeter students study and learn with the experts – with the people who write the books and create the knowledge. This means that our students benefit from access to the latest thinking, equipment and resources.
Exeter is among the top universities in the UK for student satisfaction. Results released by The Times Higher Education Supplement in August 2006 show that nine of our subjects are in the top ten nationally for ‘Overall Satisfaction’. The University is also ranked in the top ten for learning resources and has one of the highest proportions of students receiving first class and upper second class degrees. These excellent results are further proof of Exeter’s commitment to high quality teaching in a research- rich environment. All subjects assessed by the QAA since 1996 have scored top marks for student support and guidance.
Some students may require extra support to help them succeed in their academic studies and the Education Development Unit can assist in developing new study techniques. Free in-sessional support is also available for students progressing to degree courses.
