Prior to enrolment

The first point of contact for students with INTO Newcastle University is likely to be with one of INTO’s representatives in their home country. Our network of agents recognise the importance of the choices students are making and are well informed about our programmes and the University. They will gladly answer any questions and assist students with their application.

Pre-departure assistance

Once students have accepted our offer, they will receive a pre-departure guide.  The guide contains important information that will help them to prepare for travelling to the UK and arriving in Newcastle.

When to arrive

Students must arrange to arrive in Newcastle on the weekend before the first day of their course. New students must inform INTO of their travel arrangements at least two weeks in advance of their arrival date so we can advise either the Senior Residents in University accommodation, or the student’s host family, of when to expect them.

Airport pick-up service

When travelling to the UK, students can either choose to travel via London or pickup a connecting flight at one of the other international airports that have direct links with Newcastle, such as Amsterdam, Dubai, and Paris. If students are arriving in the UK for the first time, we strongly recommend that, depending upon their home country, they travel to Newcastle either via Amsterdam or Dubai, as we think these are the easiest options.

For students arriving at Newcastle International Airport, for a small additional charge we offer a pick-up service from the airport to their accommodation. Students wanting to make use of this service need to provide the Student Services team with their full arrival details before their arrival date.

There are lots of additional resources at the Unviersity to help our learning.  I really enjoy using the Open Access Centre, as we can independently improve our English language skills. Using the computer software, i have been able to really improve my reading, listening and writing skills in my own time.
