Our success

Newcastle University have been providing high-quality English language courses for international students for over 30 years.  The INTO Centre at Newcastle University continues this tradition of providing carefully designed academic preparation programmes and English language courses.

Since the INTO Centre at Newcastle University was established in February 2007, more than 800 students have chosen to study with us on a range of courses.  Over the summer months, over 170 students successfully completed the INTO Pre-Sessional course and fulfilled their aspiration to study a degree at Newcastle University. In June 2008 the first cohort of students enrolled on the INTO Foundation programme will graduate from the Centre and continue their studies at either Newcastle University or other UK universities.

Students studying at the INTO Centre can enjoy learning within a truely multi-cultural environment with students from more than 30 different countries studying at the INTO Centre, including students from Iraq, Russia, Turkey, Vietnam, Nigeria and the Middle East.

Where experience matters

In the Autumn of 2007, INTO took part for the first time in the International Student Barometer, an independent survey which measures students’ satisfaction with every aspect of their study experience. Feedback from students studying at INTO Newcastle University confirmed not only the quality of the teaching staff and the learning support; one of the reason why more than 80% of our students would encourage another international student to study with INTO.

I decided to study my Foundation at Newcastle University because of its excellent reputation for sciences and the friendly atmosphere it provides. The best thing about being a student in Newcastle is that whilst you’re studying you can enjoy the many activities offered by the University.
