Why register for In-Sessional English?

The INTO In-Sessional English courses are designed to provide a range of English language and study skills modules (both credit-bearing and non credit-bearing) from which international students registered on University degree, study abroad or exchange programmes can select from in order to:

•  improve their standard of English for academic and general communication purposes to the level needed to successfully complete an academic programme in an English-medium University and participate fully as members of the University and the wider community.
• support international students in their academic work in order to enable them to achieve their full potential.
• raise students’ awareness of the expectations of an academic audience in terms of the nature and standards of written work and effective participation in seminars and tutorials.
• provide a flexible and responsive framework which allows students to develop the necessary competence in appropriate skills across a range of levels.

Since a young age i have been interested in electronics.  With the development of teachnology rapidly increasing and products becoming ever smaller, i knew this is what i wanted  a career in.  The guarantee that the INTO Foundation programme offered onto mechatronics at Newcastle Uniersity was a key factor in my decision to study here.
