INTO Study Abroad with English

This flexible and intensive full-time modular course is for students who would like to spend a year abroad to develop their English language skills, and who would also be interested in attending undergraduate academic modules in Newcastle University’s academic schools.

This course is designed for international students who want to experience life in a UK university to improve their English and study a number of specialist academic subjects. The flexible nature of this course allows students to customise their programme to suit their level of English and their academic goals.

Course aims

To offer international students an opportunity to study at a UK university in order to improve their English and to study academic subjects at university level
To provide a highly flexible, personalised course that meets the needs of students with varying levels of English, different starting points, different duration of study and a wide variety of subject interests and ability
To provide students with practical experience of UK university teaching and study methods (e.g. lecture, tutorial, seminar, research, group study)
To enable students to experience the demands, challenges and expectations of specialist academic study, UK higher education and culture
To provide students with the confidence to continue on to undergraduate or postgraduate degree programmes at universities in English-speaking countries.
