INTO Pre-Sessional English

This is a short, intensive course designed for academically qualified students who would like to improve their English language level before starting a degree programme at Newcastle University or another UK university. The course concentrates on academic English and preparing students for university study in the UK.

The Pre-Sessional course runs from late June to early September. Depending on language level and degree programme requirements, students will be required to study either a 10-week (June to September) or 5-week course (August to September).

In order to apply for the Pre-Sessional course, students must already hold an offer for either a degree programme at Newcastle University or another university. The minimum entry requirements for the course are specified in the ‘key course facts’ section.
