Foundation pathways
There are four main pathways through the Foundation programme, which offer assured progression onto over 120 undergraduate degree programmes, in a wide variety of disciplines, at Newcastle University. Progression to undergraduate degree programmes at Newcastle University is subject to students successfully completing the appropriate Foundation pathway and achieving specified grades for entry to their chosen degree programme.The INTO Newcastle Business and Management Foundation
Leading to single and joint honours degrees in Accounting and Finance, Business, Law, Management, Marketing, and Economics.The INTO Newcastle Humanities and Social Sciences Foundation
Leading to a wide range of degree programmes within the Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences including Politics, Sociology, Law, Media, Communication and Cultural Studies, and Town Planning.The INTO Newcastle Physical Sciences and Engineering Foundation
Leading to various degrees in engineering including Chemical, Civil, Electronic and Electrical, Computer, Mechanical and Marine Engineering, as well as Natural Sciences, Information Systems, and Mathematics.The INTO Newcastle Biological and Biomedical Foundation
Leading to a wide range of degree programmes in biological, biomolecular and biomedical subject areas, as well as agriculture, psychology, and food and human nutrition.Please note that progression onto degrees in medicine and dentistry are not available from the Foundation programme.
