Academic subject preparation

The Diploma in Business is as academically demanding as the first year of a traditional university degree programme. Students studying the INTO Diploma receive additional study and English language support as well as personalised attention to ensure success in their studies and progression onto the appropriate undergraduate degree programme at the Newcastle University Business School.

Study Skills

Essential preparation for university life, the Study Skills module will help students develop the necessary skill set for undergraduate-level study by providing support with group work, presentations, research methods, lecture note taking, designing and organising assignments and understanding methods of self-evaluation.

English language

English language is a core subject in the Diploma programme and covers the key skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking English for university study. The intensive English language support ensures students reach the minimum English language requirement for entry to the second year of a degree programme at Newcastle University.

Academic counselling

Students have plenty of opportunity to discuss informally with their tutors any points raised in the lectures and seminars. For each subject there are weekly study clinics, where students can receive individual support and, where necessary, additional tuition in a specific topic. In personal tutorial sessions, students will receive professional advice on personal and academic issues, including the next steps in their studies and career.

The University of East Anglia is the most beautiful campus I have ever seen. INTO classes are very interesting and the teachers are all very friendly. Norwich is quiet, and clean, so studying here makes me feel very comfortable.
