INTO Academic English

INTO Academic English is a year-round course of intensive academic English language study, which prepares international students whose first language is not English for academic study at a UK university. The course incorporates English language skills development, exam preparation and academic study skills – all that is needed for successful university study.

Students can enrol on the Academic English course throughout the calendar year. With multiple entry points and different durations of study, the programme has the flexibility to cater for students at different language levels. For maximum benefit, students are strongly advised to enrol on their English language course at the beginning of the term in September, January, April or June, and to study for a minimum of one term.

INTO Academic English enables students to apply their developing language skills in a busy UK university environment; giving an advantage over English language teaching in schools with a solely international student population. It also provides students with an opportunity to adjust to the demands, challenges and expectations of UK higher education and culture.
