University residence
Students studying with INTO have the option of living in Leazes Parade accommodation, which is one of the University’s self-catered accommodation options, approximately 15 minutes’ walk from the main campus across Leazes Park. The flats are typically arranged as four, five or six single study-bedrooms grouped around a shared kitchen and common room. Students can enjoy central-heated, fully furnished single study-bedrooms complete with a study desk and internet access. All of the bedrooms have wash basins, while students share bathroom facilities, such as showers and toilets. Within the University Residences, the Centre has appointed a number of Senior Residents, who live in the accommodation and provide support to our students during out-of-office hours. There is also a reception area, which is open during the day, and 24-hour security services. For many students, this style of communal living is an unforgettable part of their university experience.

Homestay
Home stay accommodation provides students with a home from home. INTO Newcastle University has a network of carefully selected homestay hosts who welcome international students into their homes. Students live as part of the family, in a single study-bedroom, sharing mealtimes (breakfast and evening meal) and all the other facilities in the home that they need. Home stay accommodation gives students first hand experience of British family life and culture and is an excellent way to develop conversational English.

I really enjoy living in my residential accommodation.  It’s really comfortable and with the communal living room and kitchen I am able to talk with my flat mates who come from around the world, which helps to improve my English.
