Quality assurance

The International Foundation programme is validated by The University of Manchester and is subject to rigorous quality assurance procedures.

The Pre-Master’s Programme (PMP) is validated by NCUK (Northern Consortium United Kingdom) and effective quality assurance underpins all NCUK academic programmes. This ensures that students completing the Pre-Master’s Programme are of the necessary standard to succeed on appropriate postgraduate programmes in NCUK’s partner universities. For more information visit www.ncuk.ac.uk

The Art and Design Foundation is validated by Edexcel, the UK’s largest awarding body, and is also subject to rigorous quality assurance procedure.

The English language courses are accredited by the British Council.

Each academic programme is subject to an agreed assessment marking strategy, supported by formal assessment procedures. The security of assessment and academic standards is further supported through the external examiners appointed for each programme. Their responsibilities include access to draft papers, course work and examination scripts. Attendance at the Board of Examiners and the provision of an annual report are both required.

INTO’s review and evaluation system allows for staff and student feedback on all aspects of a course. Course reviews are a standard requirement and are summarised and passed to termly Centre staff meetings. Teaching observations are carried out regularly. Criteria laid down by British Council standard accreditation procedures for resources, learning and teaching are applied as part of the Centre’s academic management of EFL and EAP programmes.

The International Foundation programme gives me the basic knowledge of business which will be required at university, as well as supporting my English. We also have a new building which is a great facility.
