Progress is checked by continuous assessment of course work and a final exhibition. The final grade is based on a mixture of course work and personal study. Successful students will achieve a pass, merit or distinction for their final grade.
For the past four years 100% of the international students on this programme have progressed onto university. Agreements with Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Salford mean that high-achieving students can progress onto related degree courses at those universities without interview or UCAS application.

The programme can lead to entry at Art schools across the UK, but Art and Design Foundation students who wish to remain in Manchester should look at the range of degree programmes on offer in the city.
