Culture

Theatre, music and art are an important part of University campus life. There are plenty of opportunities to see plays, films, musicals and concerts, ranging from pop to classical, without stepping off campus.

The University’s Great Hall is a major venue for pop and classical concerts whilst smaller bands can be seen at the Lemon Grove on campus, or one of the many venues in the city. There are plenty of performance opportunities for students who sing or play an instrument, through the student music societies, ranging from Jazz, Folk and Concert Band, through Change Ringing, World Music and University Singers, to large ensembles such as the University Orchestra or Stage Musical society.

The Streatham campus is also home to the Northcott Theatre, Exeter’s professional repertory theatre, which hosts touring companies and amateur productionsincluding ones from the University. The University also has one of the most advanced student media networks in the country. Its weekly newspaper, TV station and student radio have won several student media awards. For art lovers, the University’s sculpture walk is a great way to see the Streatham campus, and along the way, 25 sculptures can be seen around the University campus.

I would recommend the Graduate Certificate in Management (with English) course because I think it shows international students how to study well in Britain.
