Social activity programme

We know that your main reason for coming to Exeter is to study. However, in our experience, getting involved in non-academic activities will help you to adjust to life in Britain and allow you to develop a network of friends to make your stay more enjoyable.

The University of Exeter campus offers a wide variety of options for social life, sport and culture.

INTO also organises a regular programme of activities designed to help our students make the most of their time in the UK. The programme includes day trips to a city in the region, e.g. Bath, Bristol, Plymouth or to more scenic places such as St. Ives  in Cornwall or a visit to Dartmoor; social evenings e.g. sports night, film night, story night, student parties. Full-day excursions normally cost between £20-£25.

University sports centre

INTO students enjoy free membership of and entry to University of Exeter sports facilities. Where an activity fee applies, INTO students pay the lowest level of fee. Further information on the University’s sports facilities can be found at www.exeter.ac.uk/sport/

"After I finished my foundation course in Exeter, I decided I would not like to go anywhere else. It is a great city, the campus is beautiful, I love the weather here, I love the people here and I love the way people speak English."
