Liz Munro
Liz Munro
Liz Munro has extensive leadership and managerial experience in post-16 education in the UK and overseas.  After graduating from King’s College, London, Liz started her professional career as an English language teacher in Paris and then spent 10 years with the British Council in the Middle East and South East Asia. From there she moved to Australia where she lectured at Curtin and Edith Cowan Universities, before becoming the Academic Director at  St Mark’s International College. Liz was the founding Principal of Bellerbys College in Cambridge for six years  before moving in 2004 to the University of Warwick where she was initially the Director of Student Recruitment and  Admissions and then Head of Corporate Services at the National Academy for Gifted and Talented Youth. She has a Masters degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of York.

JoJo Ramsden
JoJo Ramsden
JoJo is a UK national, originally from the Exeter area, and is fluent in English, Mandarin and French. She gained a BA Honours in Chinese and French at the University of Westminster and Taipei’s Chengchi University in 1991 and an MBA at Lancaster University in 2001. She has 15 years’ experience in the marketing of international education in Taiwan and Shanghai; extensive English language teaching experience both overseas and in the UK; and six years’ experience as a professionally accredited Institute of Linguists Chinese- and French-to-English translator. Between 1994 and 1997, JoJo worked as Senior Education Counsellor for the British Council in Taiwan, organising UK education exhibitions and the 1995 British Festival, and from 1998 to 1999, as Overseas Study Manager helping to establish a Chinese government joint venture in Shanghai.

Aaron Watts
Aaron is a UK national with 13 years' experience as a Science specialist and is also a qualified editor and proofreader. In 1995 he received his undergaduate degree in chemistry from Queen Mary College, University of London, also winning the Neil Arnott prize. Aaron then continued his studies at Queen Mary College, receiving his PhD in Biochemistry in 1998. In 1999 his association with the University of Exeter began. Between 1999 and 2005, Aaron was a post-doctoral researcher within the School ofBiosciences. During this time he worked on a number of projects involving collaboration with other groups locally, nationally, and internationally. It was also at this time that his interest in institutional level issues was raised when he became involved with the University's drive to improve conditions for Research staff. For the 2 years prior to joining INTO, Aaron held a full-time teaching role in the School of Biosciences. Aside from teaching, he was heavily involved with student pastoral care and local recruitment events.

Programme Manager English Language

Helen Turner
Helen has over 15 years’ teaching experience.  After graduating in French from the University of Southampton, she was an English teacher for several years in France and Italy before coming to work at the University of Exeter in 1996 where she taught English for Academic Purposes and held a variety of co-ordination roles.  She is currently Programme Manager for the Academic English, Pre-Master’s and Essential English courses.  Helen has a Dip Tefla, an MA in Applied Linguistics and an MA in Literary Translation.

Rebecca Michel
Rebecca has worked in the field of English Language Teaching since 1981. She originally graduated in Linguistics and French, and has she worked in France, the UK, Turkey and Egypt as Teacher, Teacher Trainer and Director of Studies. Rebecca has worked at the University of Exeter since 1997 and is currently Programme Manager for Essential English courses. She has a Diploma in English Language Teaching and a Master’s degree in Education.
